    Re: Chef Sean Brock

I've been to a couple of his meals (my wife is his and Missy's cousin). I love watching this stuff and his techniques, but I don't have the stomach to eat his food. I went to his James Beard ceremony dinner about 5 years back and took one bite of each food to say I tried it and that was all I could eat.

I wound up eating a hot dog from a hot dog stand in NYC after the dinner was over.

LOL you sound like one of my coworkers - refuses to attempt to like anything new. If it's not breaded & deepfried chicken, she wont eat it. Everything else is "naaaaaaaasty" or "thats disgusting." Very unfortunate mindset.

I would try everything I've seen on Iron Chef this evening.

I would love to try some of Morimoto's concoctions sometimes.

    Morimoto is very impressive.
Batali was my favorite of all time - he's just not associated with Food Network any more.

I DVRd last nights episode. Definitely bad to go against Simon on anything that has to do with pork.

I did at least try everything. My stomach just can't take some of that stuff. Not to mention every dish he served came with a different glass of wine which was supposed to enhance everything. I don't drink, never have, thus I had to pass on that as well. But after about 5 plates of food, I had about 5-6 bites all together. Needless to say, I was starving once the meal was over.

My wife has been to his restaurant once or twice and loves it. He's big on that liquid nitrogen stuff. He used to create deserts with that in it. At his wedding a few years back, instead of throwing rice or blowing bubbles, they dumped liquid nitrogen on the ground to create a fog and gave everyone sprinklers. Rather cool effect!

He also made different types of food in the form of cotton candy. My wife had a peanut butter and jelly sampler at his restaurant once in the form of cotton candy.
